NBA 2012 Mock Draft Second Pick

Folks, the draft order has been established. The Charlotte Bobcats found that ineptitude gets rewarded with what some consider the most dangerous draft pick in the NBA Lottery. Your devoted writers here at the Dream Shake have set up a mock draft, pick by pick, to be delivered to you daily. We will be going through the first round of the draft with our selections and our reasons why we think we will correctly predict the whole damn thing.
Breaking news: In the TDS mock draft, I (representing the Portland Trail Blazers in the this case) traded my number 6 and 11 overall picks to Charlotte along with Nicolas Batum for the number 2 overall pick.
It's a deal that makes sense for both squads, I think. The Bobcats have to be devastated to get shut out of the Anthony Davis pick, but after that there isn't a sure thing here. Instead, they should try to get multiple picks and solid young players. This trade works for them.
As for the Blazers, losing Batum certainly hurts, but with him becoming a restricted free agent and the team having bigger needs to fill, a lot is up in the air. If the Blazers were to stay at 6 and 11, they could take two of the four potential UNC lottery picks, and that wouldn't be terrible. But, there's something even better out there for them. So, let's see who the Blazers pick after the jump.

MKG immediately takes the title of heir to Brandon Roy, and gives the Blazers a young stud to pair with LaMarcus Aldridge. Better yet, it gives the fans something to get excited for.
There's been a lot of turmoil in the PDX. Nate McMillan was fired, they still have no GM (or full-time head coach), and there isn't much excitement for a team with Raymond Felton running the show. If the Blazers wanted to stick around 6 and 11, they might be able to get Harrison Barnes and Kendall Marshall.
That wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. In fact, it would be pretty good. But, say they go all-in on getting Goran Dragic and then trade up for MKG. That's a great backcourt (with MKG able to play the three as well) to pair with one of the best young forwards in the game in LMA.
I think it's a chance Portland should take, and it will make them a better team in the long run. Scary, too.
